HICKSTEAD ALL ENGLAND JUMPING CHAMPIONSHIPS

Georgie Crumly riding at Hickstead 2011This is a new show at Hickstead and is very local for us which is good. Renkum Dorenda started the show off in very good form by qualifying for the 4 years old final in the main arena. In the final she had an unlucky pole down towards the end of the course but it was a great experience for her, and the big arena did not phase her at all. Boston was jumping a foot perfect round in the 5 years old qualifier, but as Georgie went to turn tight back to a fence, his fronts legs slipped and he fell over, and unseated Georgie. However, both got up fine and after dusting themselves down walked out fine. A new horse for us Quidams Good Luck jumped a lovely double clear qualifying for the main arena. This was Georgie's first oportunity to jump him at a show as he only arrived earlier in the week. He jumped a fantastic double clear in the main arena to finish 5th in the 5 years old final.

Stijder jumped a lovely double clear to qualify for the 6 / 7 years old final in the main arena. In the final he jumped a foot perfect clear in the first round. This class was extremely fast so Georgie knew she had to do something special to win. From fence 1 to 2 she took out a stride but on her turn back to 3 Georgie could feel Strijder slipping so made a circle and gave him a slow trip around. We where all very disappointed, but at least both horse and rider finished unhurt and it was still a positive experience. It wasn't our week with slipping over!!, but we had studs all round but that's showjumping!!!! We traveled back on Saturday with Strijder for the 7/8 years old Horse of the Year qualifier. He jumped a fantastic first round clear to secure his place in the jump-off. In the jump-off the fences stood at around 1.45m. Second to go, Georgie set a very fast clear round to win the class and qualify for HOY'S which was a fantastic effort.

We are now making plans to travel to the World breeding championships in Belgium with Strijder who will be representing the British stud book, this takes place from 21st - 25th September. This is usually the finish of the outdoor jumping season so we will spend all winter doing jobs around the yard and producing some of our younger less experienced horses, the others will get a little time to rest, and myself and Georgie will make plans for shows in 2012.

ADDINGTON YOUNG HORSE CHAMPIONSHIPS

We had six young horses, three of which were British bred at the show. Renkum Dorenda qualified for the 4 years old final and jumped double clear to take equal first in the final. This was fantastic for Dorenda's new owner Zoe Warren and also earned Renkum Stud a bonus for breeding her. Boston jumped two fantastic double clears in the 5 year old qualifiers and was set for a share of the bonus going into the final. He jumped a foot perfect first round and was last to go in the jump-off, Georgie gave it her all but he had two down to finish tenth, but that's horses!!!. Scandal had one down each day in the 5 year old qualifiers and was one place out of being in the final. Empire had the last fence down each day in the 6 years old qualifiers and thing did not go to plan in the final as we had change of bit for that class and it didn't go to plan!! Strijder jumped good rounds to qualify for the 7 years old final, there was alot of interest in this horse as he was a winner as a 5 year old and also as a 6 years old. He was clear in the first round but had an unlucky one down in the jump-off to finish 7th. Webalia G jumped fantastic rounds in the 8 years old qualifiers to earn a spot in the final, but it was not to be as she had two parts of the combination down. All in all it was a very encouraging show

Maision - Laffitte CSI** INTERNATIONAL - FRANCE

We set off in the early hours of Thursday morn with Webalia G and Strijder to Maision - Laffitte which is near Paris. Strijder started the day off with a fantastic double clear in the 1.30m two phase and finished up 13th, Webalia G jumped the 1.40m jump off class and finished 7th, She was first to go and went at a good pace but the French riders do know how to go against the clock!! Strijder jumped a lovely double clear in the 1m40 two phase on Saturday which was good going as he is only 7 years old. Webalia G had a cracking round but had the last fence down, her time would have been good enough to take 2nd place. The class was won by one of the best French riders Jean Marc Nicholas. Strijder jumped a fantastic round in the 1.35m class and finished in pole position, beating the previous days winner and 67 other competitors. We decided to enter Webalia G in the Grand prix, which was 1.45m and very technical, She was unlucky to have one down, but finished in 7th place as there was only 6 clears in the first round, and she was the fastest 4 faults. The class was won by Eric Navet and the runner up was Evelyn Blaton, two of the most talented riders in the world. This show was a great experience for both horses as they are only stepping up to this level, I think we are planning to do a few more international shows at the end of September and start of October.

GEORGIE HAS GOOD WARM UP FOR YOUNG HORSE SHOW

We travelled to Addington on Wed 10th July as final preparation for next weeks young horse championships. The young horse championship show is the highlight for young horse producers and breeders. Renkum Dorenda jumped for 4 faults in the 4 yrs old class, This horse has recently been bought by Zoe Bates but will stay with Georgie for a few shows to gain more experience. Scandal V jumped a lovely clear in the 5yrs old class. Boston finished 2nd in the newcomers, we jumped him in the newcomers rather than the 5yrs old class as he needed his last double clear which he achieved in great style. Argus had an unlucky pole down in the jump off of the foxhunter class. Webalia G was fourth in the 1m40 class and Strijder jumped a text book clear round in the 1m25 class. During the week we purchased a yearling colt called Renkum Corsair, he is by Renkum Chapot out of the same dam as Renkum Dorenda. Renkum stud is owned and run by Henk and Louise Minderman. They have bred many top class horses at their stud are were responsible for setting up and running the AES stud book. I have been very lucky with English bred horses and like buying horses from local breeders, It will not be long before the AES stud book will be at the top of the stud book rankings. We are in the process of breaking two 3 yrs old fillies they are both out of sisters of the famous Wonderboy that Georgies produced. One is by Nonstop and the other is by Cyber van Berkenhof, this one resembles Wonderboy t, we measured her during the week and she stands at 17hh!!

LUIDELLE V SUCCESSFUL ON INTERNATIONAL STAGE

Well done to Lauren Hough and Luidelle V name now changed to Blue Angel, This partnership won the 1.60m jumpoff class at Dublin CSIO 5* show earlier this week, Just Two years on from when Ryan competed her at Fellbridge in the 1m class!!!

ROYAL INTERNATIONAL SHOW HICKSTEAD

Georgie competed Boston at this year’s Royal International Show at Hickstead as the rest of the string where having some much needed time off. Georgie and Ryan also had customers trying various horses so it was hard to fit everything in. On the first day of the show Boston put up a super performance winning the Winter novice qualifier by almost 3 seconds, and although he had a very unlucky fence down in the main arena on Wednesday he again was in excellent form. Boston looked very comfortable cantering around in the main arena and he will have gained great experience. He is only just touching 16hh but has alot of power and scope and can go very fast in the jump off, Boston and Georgie do look like a good partnership for the future.

It was also very nice to see Luidelle V now named Blue Angel jump the International classes with Lauren Hough. This horses was produced by Georgie and sold in Feburary of this year, Lauren has high hopes for this very talented mare and is expecting big things from her.

GEORGIE IN GREAT FORM AT ADDINGTON SUMMER CLASSIC

Georgie had a great show at Addington which started on Tuesday and continued until Saturday, Webalia G continued her great run of form by Winning both accumulators in great style and piped at the post in the 1m30 PCA class. Strijder was first in the B&C class and finished runner up in the 1.25m class. Boston III jumped four fantastic double clears in the newcomers classes and finished with a excellent win in the Saturday Newcomers class. Renkum Dorenda produced some lovely rounds in the newcomers classes just having a few green mistakes over the week. Dorenda handled the step up to this level very well as she has only ever taken part in training classes and two 1m classes at Hickstead the previous week. Argus V and Caprice B Z jumped some lovely rounds in the 1m20 classes over the week.

All in all its was a very tiring but successful week as we had ten horses from the yard to compete and also had the Animo clothing stand to manage. A few quiet days at home are needed to let the horses chill out in the paddocks, then its all go for Hickstead Royal International show then Addington Young horses Championships.

YOUNG HORSE GET GREAT EXPERIENCE AT HICKSTEAD

Team Crumley travelled to Hickstead, Hickstead is a wonderful show which has classes for all levels of horses. Georgie jumped lovely clears in the 5 yrs and 6 yrs old qualifiers with Boston III and Argus but with huge entries they where not quick enough to qualify for the final. Stridjer finished 2nd in the 7&8 yrs qualifier but had an unlucky pole down in the final which was held in the main arena. Webalia G finished 6th in the speed derby qualifier but was very unlucky in the speed derby, she pulled a shoe after the first fence and slipped into jump number 2 but held it all together to put in a lovely round, Webalia G is only 8 yrs old and went a little green when she entered the main arena but this was excellent experience and was Georgies first attempt at this class, Georgie is very determined to return and have a good go at this classes in 2012 now they have had a run around the course. Louise Stonestreet rode a few young horses for us at this show and had very good rounds with Gigalo and Renkum Dorenda. Louise is a very good with young horses and is now based with us for the summer, so we now have vacancies for breaking / schooling and competition livery.

GEORGIE SHOW OFF ANIMO CLOTHING A BOLESWORTH

From Mullingar Georgie travelled back across the water to Bolesworth Castle in Cheshire, This show was very well run by the Barbor family. Georgie jumped the same horses as the previous week in Mullingar. The horses all jumped very well but no major wins but picking up valuable experience on beautiful grass arenas. Georgie had her Animo clothing at this show which proved to be very successful.

GEORGIE AND STRING GO VERY WELL IN IRELAND

Georgie travelled to Mullingar international horse show in Ireland with Webalia G, Strijder, Argus and Caprice. This show is run by a Robert Fagan and Family who Ryan has known for many years. Argus and Caprice jumped very well each day in the 1m20 classes gaining valuable experience for the future. Stridjer gained valuable experience jumping on the grass arena in the small international classes. Webalia G was 4th in the opening big international class and finished second in the mini Grand Prix on Sunday this was a very hot class, Georgie was beaten by just 0.02 of a second.Ryan and Georgie travelled a few miles down the road from the show to Bridge house stud to visit Baltimore, the horse who Ryan partnered to many international wins, He is now 18 yrs young and has lots of foals on the ground, He is enjoying his retirement with Trevor and Elizabeth Badger.

GEORGIE AND HORSES IS FINE FORM LEADING IN SUMMER

After Spain Georgie travelled to Lummen, Belguim with Strijder Webalia G and Argus. Argus jumped lovely clears each day in the 6yrs old classes. Webalia G was placed in two 1m35 classes and Strijder won and was placed in two other 1m30 classes.

Georgie takes novice horses to Fellbridge, a local show to us that has just put in a huge all weather arena and practice arena, Show owners Shaun and Michelle Marsh do a fantastic job in keeping the arenas in great shape and always trying to improve the venue. Georgie had 10 horses over the two days and all horses jumped very well with Webalia G winning the 1m30 and Strijder coming 5th which was the main event of the show.

GEORGIE & WEBELIA FINISH IN GREAT STYLE

Georgie and Webelia G continued their amazing run of victories by winning the final Big Tour A class at the Sunshine tour. This was by far their most impressive victory winning in great style from Mark Armstrong riding Caleta and Tim Page - Wyoming. After an impressive clear in the first round, Webelia G answered all Georgie's calls in the jump-off to get past Mark Armstrong and Caleta in a very fast time of 30.14secs. A great end to a very successful Sunshine Tour for Georgie.

There was also great news for Crumley Equestrian students with Kerry-Ann Potter winning the Small Tour B class and Alice Palmer coming fifth in the Ladies Open class. Kerry-Ann and Alice have had very impressive shows with both jumping many clear rounds together with many placing's over the last five weeks.

GEORGIE ON FIRE IN FINAL WEEK OF SUNSHINE TOUR

Georgie and Webelia G have been on fire during week four of the 2011 Sunshine Tour. Not content with winning the final Big Tour A class in week four, Georgie and Webelia G have won both the Big Tour A classes in the final week of the show. This very talented mare is improving with each outing and her win in the Thursday Big Tour classes was a fantastic effort winning by over four seconds from John Whitaker in second place. Georgie and Webelia G wasted little time in getting back in the winners enclosure with another superb effort on Friday winning the class from fellow Brit Mark Armstrong riding Caleta.

This has been a very impressive show for Georgie, all the young horse have gained great experience and really look to be in fine shape for the 2011 season.

GEORGIE VICTORIOUS ON SUNSHINE TOUR

George and the team have carried on their great form in weeks three and four of the 2011 sunshine tour highlighted by two excellent class wins.

The young horse have continued to impress during the third and forth weeks of the tour with Scandel jumping four more clear rounds including three placings of equal first, tenth and an excellent 4th in the bigger class on the last day of week four. Georgie's new 5yr old Boston III, a grey gelding by Indoctro, has been in top form the whole show and continued his impressive form with four more clear rounds being placed 1st, 2nd and two 3rds in his classes. This talented horse has been a real eye opener and Georgie and Ryan are hopeful this gelding will make up into a really nice prospect. The 6yr old Argus IV has also been in impressive form jumping three more very nice clear rounds and along with Boston III and Scandel has qualified for the finals in the last week of the show.

Strijder kept things rolling for Georgie with three classy clear rounds in week four finishing 1st, 7th and 5th respectively. Strijder continues to show why he is an exciting prospect and Georgie is hoping he can be really competitive in the last week of the show. Georgie's 8yr old Webelia G was the star of week four with a fantastic double clear in the Big Tour A class winning in impressive fashion. She followed that class victory with another superb effort the following day jumping clear again to finish in 3rd place. This mare is getting better each round and is very competitive, she has improved thoughout the show and Ryan is sure she will make up into a very nice horse this year.

Watch Georgie & Webelia G Winning the Big Tour A Class

There was also very good news from the tour about some of Crumley Equestrian's studants. Alice Palmer has been having a very good show, she has two young horses and two for the small tour, the young horses have been jumping alot of clear rounds and the older horses are being placed in most classes they start in. Kerry-Ann Potter has been another student that has impressed, having had very good placings in the small tour classes.

GEORGIE AND THE TEAM IN GREAT FORM AT SUNSHINE TOUR

Georgie and the team of young horses have been in great form in the first two weeks of the Sunshine Tour in Spain. 5yr Old Scandel IV got thing rolling for Georgie and jumped three super clear rounds in the 5yr Old classes during first week of the show. This was followed by the 6yr old Argus IV who was also very impressive jumping clear every day in the 6yr Old Class. Strijder didn't let the team down with two very nice clear rounds to get him warmed up for the bigger classes later on in the month. Georgie's older horse Webelia G took on the Big Tour C classes at the show and after jumping an excellent double clear on day one, continued to jump very well on the final two days of week one.

The second week of the month long Sunshine Tour was equally impressive for Georgie and the team. Scandel IV continued his very impressive form with two clear rounds and a very unlucky pole to finish the week. Scandel is very inexperienced and Georgie is delighted the way he has improved. Argus IV, a fast improving horse, was in top form during week two. After two good clear rounds he finished the week in great style with an excellent forth place. Very much one to keep an eye on this summer, Argus could develop into a really nice 6yr old and will be aimed at all the good age classes this year. The impressive Strijder looked in great nick during week two with three excellent clear rounds. Strijder is already looking as though he has improved again as a 7yr old, and has really does look to be a top class horse in the making. A bold and brave jumper, Georgie is very confident of some major success with this classy gelding.

GEORGIE SETS OFF TO SUNSHINE TOUR

Georgie sets off to Spain for the 2011 Sunshine tour. Georgie has taken four horses, Stridjer who was awarded best 6 yrs old in 2010, Argus a very promising 6 yr old who was campaigned lightly during 2010 but looks top class, Webalia G who had a fantastic 2010 and Scandal a new 5yrs old who has only taking part in two competitions. Despite only being 15.1hh this very nice horse is showing alot of promise. Luidelle was supposed to travel but was sold they day before leaving much to Georgie's disappointment., This mare was bought in summer 09 having never competed at a show despite being 7 yrs old. Georgie produced her very carefully achieving excellent result from British novice up to Grand Prix in a short space of time and her last class was Patchetts Grand prix where she jumped double clear. All the best to Luidelle and her new owners and well done Georgie for producing yet again another star!!

CRUMLEY EQUESTRIAN PUPIL AT INTERNATIONAL SHOW

Grace Boughton-Leigh traveled to her first international show which was took place in Roggel Holland and took part in the Children On Horses competitions, with her two horses Professor Twinkle and Roundhills Starlight Express. During the weekend she had a few placing's and gained tremendous experience, her parents Mark and Claire traveled along and are very supportive to both Grace and all at Crumley Equestrian. Grace hopes to travel to more competitions during the summer and is hoping to earn a place on the British children on horses squad, Not bad for someone who has been competing for only 18 months!!

Georgie and Strijder won the British Bred 6yr old Championship final at the British Young Horse Championships held at Addington Manor. Jumping his first show back after a short break, Strijder was in brilliant form and produced the only double clear to win the British Bred Championship. GEORGIE JUST MISSES OUT ON LUIDELLE

Georgie and Luidelle continued their excellent form at the Bicester & Finmere show at the weekend but just failed to qualify for the HOYS 7&8 Years Championship final after jumping double clear finishing in an excellent forth place. This very talented mare has been a revelation this year, already qualified for the 2010 HOYS Grade C Final, and continues to take every upgrade in her stride.

Georgie took the very nice 5yr old Augus to the Somerset County Show and he produced two very nice rounds. This is only Argus's second show back since jumping in Spain in the spring of this year, and by finishing second and third in the two Novice classes he contested shows he is a very nice young hose. Georgie will now take Argus to the Addington Manor Young Horse show to take part in the age classes.

RYAN TO RECEIVE BRONZE MEDAL

Ryan is to be awarded a bronze medal by the FEI later this year as he has represented his country more than ten times. Ryan's International success was gained on his outstanding, now retired, stallion Baltimore.

GEORGIE QUALIFIES WEBELIA G FOR SCOPE FESTIVAL

Riding for the first time as Georgie Crumley didn't stop Georgie from putting in an excellent performance at the Pycombe Newcomers 2nd round class finishing an excellent fifth on Webelia G. This was a particularly good effort as Webelia G has just come back into competition after a slight set back and is starting to look better at every show. Georgie and Webellia G will now go forward to the Scope Festival for another chance to qualify for the Newcomers final at HOYS.

GEORGIE & STRIJDER KEEP ON ROLLING AT HICKSTEAD

Georgie and Strijder took their excellent form to the Derby Meeting at Hickstead and produced two more eye catching performance in the 6yr old age classes. After jumping a very nice double clear to finish in sixth place in the qualifying class, Georgie and Strijder were in super form in the final, held in the main International arena, again jumping a very impressive double clear to finish in 2nd place, just failing to catch Shane Breen and COR DELA ROSSA Z.

Georgie also brought Luidelle to Hickstead and jumped and nice double clear in the 1.35m Open class. Georgie is keen to keep Luidelle on the go and this very talented mare continues to look in great shape.

GEORGIE & LUIDELLE QUALIFY FOR 2010 HOYS GRADE C CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL

Georgie & Luidelle produced fantastic performance to qualify for the 2010 HOYS Grade C Championship final. Over the toughest Grade C qualifier seen this year (only three double clears out of 87 entries), Georgie and Luidelle produced two flawless rounds of jumping to qualify. This was a well deserved success for Georgie after producing Luidelle to progress from British Novice to her current level with in a year.

GEORGIE'S & LUIDELLE IN GOOD FORM AT SOUTH OF ENGLAND SHOW

Georgie & Luidelle produced a top class performance in the Grand PRIX at the South Of England show last week. This very talented mare was only jumping British Novice last July and has made tremendous improvement over the last 11 months. With Georgie deciding to step up Luidelle after a string of impressive performances, this big jumping mare took everything in her stride to jump a very impressive clear round just finishing with one time fault. Georgie was absolutely thrilled with Luidelle and is looking forward to a successful summer with this talented mare.

Stridjer continued his excellent form with another good effort in the Grade C event finishing a very good fifth place. After qualifying for this years HOYS Newcomers Final, Strijder will continue jumping in the this grade for the rest of the summer.

GEORGIE'S & STRIJDER QUALIFY FOR 2010 HOYS NEWCOMERS FINAL

Georgie & Strijder took their excellent form to Towerlands Park and produced three outstanding rounds to win the 2010 HOYS Newcomers qualifier. After two impressive rounds of showjumping to get into the final jump-off, Georgie and Strijder were simply brilliant in the jump off winning the class in most convincing fashion. This hugely talented six year old is starting to show his true quality and currently looks one of the best six year olds in the country. With the HOYS Newcomers ticket safely booked, Georgie will be aiming Strijder at Grade C and age classes through the summer.

GEORGIE'S HAS GOOD START TO SUMMER SHOWS

HERTS COUNTY SHOW

Georgie took three horse to compete in the Herts County Show HOYS Grade C qualifier at the weekend (29th/30th May) and all three performed with great credit. Over a tough course and heavy rain Strijder and Luidelle were in great form in the first round both jumping very impressive clear rounds. Webalia G, who was the last to go of the three, looked to be joining her stablemates in the jump off, but was desperately unlucky to have the last fence down. However, this progressive 7yr old again showed that she is very talented and has a bright future.

Luidelle was unfortunate to be first to go in the jump off and with Georgie not pressing too hard, looked to be setting a competitive time but just had the last fence down, a very tall upright coming off a tight turn. Strijder, who looked in great shape in the first round, again showed what a talent he is. Despite being the youngest horse in the jump off, and against some very experienced campaigners, Georgie and Strijder were brilliant in the jump off and only just failed to get into the top three qualifying places finishing a very creditable fifth. This young horse has done nothing but improve and Georgie & Ryan are very excited about the future for this special horse.

ROYAL WINDOSR

Georgie enjoyed good results with both Strijder and Webalia G at the 2010 Royal Windsor Horse show. Strijder was again impressive in the 6yr old age class jumping double clear to finish 6th and showing the huge potential he has. New recruit to the yard Webalia G was another in excellent form jumping double clear to finish 2nd in the 7/8yr class. This very scopey mare should enjoy a good summer and is part of an exciting squad of horses Georgie and Ryan are putting together.

GEORGIE'S YOUNGSTERS CONTINUE TO SHINE

LUMMEN

Georgie enjoyed an extremely successful show in Lummen, Belgium. All the horses performed well - Luidelle V came into her own and showed that she is ready to tackle bigger tracks by jumping the 1.30 classes clear. Although Luidelle (by Luidam) is 8 years old she was a relatively late starter and didn't really start her jumping career until last summer (Hickstead 2009) when she showed how talented she is. Since then she has progressed beyond belief and will be a competitive horse for the future.

Webalia G, who joined Georgie just a couple of weeks ago grew in confidence with her new rider and jumped in great style around the 1.35 classes. Georgie has great hopes for this 7 year old and will be aiming her for the 7 year old classes this year.

Strijder again showed fantastic form. He took equal place four times in the age classes and Georgie certainly has great hopes for the future of this outstanding young horse.

Melanie is a 5 year old Darco mare who has had very little ring experience. The continuous jumping for two weeks helped her immensely and she made steady progress throughout the show taking equal first place twice.

WALES AND WEST MASTERS

The sun shone at Wales and the West and so did Georgies horses. Strijder was equal first on the opening day in the 6 year old class and took second place in the 6 year old championship. Strijder answered every call and Georgie said that even though she didn't win the class she could not have asked anymore from him and she wouldn't have expected it!

Tanine a 10 year old mare (currently for sale) took first and second place in the Newcomers classes. Georgie is very pleased with this mare and has had some good wins on her throughout the winter months - she would make a great amateur horse and would be very competitive up to 1.20.

Koosh a 5 year old gelding by Darco took equal 1st place on the opening day along with Melanie in the 5 and 6 year old class. Koosh has a good technique and is a stylish jumper. He has been produced slowly and is now ready to join the rest of the team.

Luidelle again produced some super rounds being well placed in both foxhunter classes. Webalia G again showed just how well she and Georgie are bonding by jumping a fabulous clear round in the 7 and 8 year old class on Saturday.

Georgie continues her excellent form on the Sunshine Tour

As the last week of preliminary rounds draw to a close and the finals taking place next week - Georgies young horses have excelled themselves. Argus has been the only five year old horse on the Sunshine Tour to complete the prelim rounds without knocking down a fence. Unbelievable, considering this young horse had little experience before he went out to Spain and had only jumped up to Discovery level. He has completed five weeks of continuously clean jumping and has been willing to learn throughout his time at the show. Strijder has not been far behind him - with only two fences down throughout the whole show he has proved to everyone what a star he is. Georgie has benefitted greatly from help at the show from French Olympic rider Michel Robert. Georgie has always admired the way Michel works with his horses and said he is amazing to watch. To work with him has been extraordinary and something she will never forget.

Georgie has excellent start to Sunshine Tour

Georgie started the Sunshine Tour with her young horses this week and they did not disappoint. Both Strijder and Argus jumped double clear on the opening days and both horses were well placed. Argus competed in the 5 year old section and Strijder in the 6 year olds. Both horses held their own against strong competition and will hopefully continue throughout the next five weeks. Strijder has continued to improve throughout the year with every outing. He was superb at the World Breeding Championships in Lanaken last year and thoroughly enjoys getting on the lorry to go to a show! He is by the stallion Olivier who was ridden successfully by David Macpherson before being sold to America. Argus is by VDL Empire who is by the world famous stallion Emilion. Already this grandson of Emilion who jumped at successfully the highest level, is showing himself to be both scopey and careful. Emilion is proven to be one of the best stallions for show jumper breeding.

Cyntias Heartbreaker and Luidelle started the tour on Friday with Cyntias Heartbreaker jumping clear both Friday and Saturday. Luidelle was a little ring rusty on Friday after a long break but this inexperienced 8 year old showed that she could keep up with the rest by producing a foot perfect round on Saturday. Luidelle joined Georgie last summer but had very little ring experience. She showed enormous talent and produced some beautiful clears rounds at the Royal International Show at Hickstead. Due to her inexperience, Georgie did not want to push this highly talented mare too quickly and concentrated on her flat work throughout the winter months. Spain is her first outing since last summer.

Latest News - 2009

Georgie in good form at Unex Masters

Illoniase de CabdullaGeorgie brought two horses to the UNEX MASTERS at Towerlands Park last week and both performed very well. Georgie's young star Stridjer jumped in the 5yr old classes and continued to show he is going the right way. After a short break Georgie will be concentrating on the winter novice classes for this very talented young horse.

Georgie had her mare Illonaise de Cabdulla for the International classes and both were in great form being placed in every class they jumped. Without doubt the hightlight was being placed in the Small Grand PRIX (you can view the video here...)with Georgie having a real go at chasing down a very fast time set by Matt Sampson, but unfortunately they had one pole in the jump off and had to settle with a very good placing. This very fast mare will no doubt be competitive in all the classes she jumps during the winter and Georgie will be looking to win some nice classes at the upcoming premier shows.

Georgie and Stridjer impress in Lanakan

Stridjer jumping at Lanaken young horse championshipGeorgie has been thrilled with the progression this little horse has made over the last few months. Having shared the prize fund at Addington for the British Bred horses, jumping three consecutive clear rounds at the show, Georgie and STRIDJER almost repeated the feat in Lanaken but unfortunately had two fences down on the third day. Georgie is very excited with STRIDJER and is certain he will prove himself in the future. Georgie will aim to qualify him for Newcomer Second Rounds next year, attain his double clear Foxhunter for the year after and also aim for some six year old classes. STRIJDER is having a well earned break at the moment but will be out contesting the Winter Novice Classes at the Premier Shows.

Georgie also has a fabulous 4 year old - Applaus who has been very consistent in the novice classes he has jumped to date. He has excellent breeding and this follows true to form should prove another exciting prospect for 2010. To highlight how impressive STRIJDER has been this year he has just been selected onto the BSJA's Equine Pathway Scheme.

Georgie eyes the future with her young stars

Georgie now has some very good young horses ready for 2009. Her team of youngsters have already been out to shows and are showing great promise by winning Newcomers and Foxhunter classes. Georgie is extremely excited about the youngsters and is looking forward to competing them next year along with Alfredo.

Georgie continues excellent form

Despite the loss of Wonderboy, Georgie came very close to qualifying for the 2008 Horse of the Year show at the wild card qualifier at Unex Towerlands. Wasting little time Georgie swept to victory in the first of three qualifiers onboard Baltimore, showing a clean pair of heals to her rivals. Despite an excellent sixth place in the Grand Prix, Georgie narrowly failed to qualify for the top two places but none the less put in some excellent rounds of showjumping.

Moving on to the fabulous venue at Aintree, Georgie again had an excellent show finishing a very good sixth place in the Grand PRIX qualifier having no luck after jumping clear in the first round, with a very unlucky pole in the second round.

Georgie says goodbye to Wonderboy

As tends to happen in showjumping, horses get sold by their owners and unfortunately Georgie lost her fabulous grey Wonderboy. Georgie has worked wonders with this talented grey and deserves all the credit in the world for producing him as a top quality prospect. Although heartbreaking for Georgie, she has now acquired the 2005 Hickstead Grand PRIX winner Alfredo and is really looking forward to working with this undoubtedly talented horse, but Wonderboy will not be easily forgotten by Georgie.
